Meet Dr. Earl (Ted) Ferguson – A Surgeon Who Understands More Than Just Aesthetics
Dr. Earl E Ferguson, also known as Ted Ferguson, is a Board Certified plastic surgeon in San Antonio with more than 25 years of experience serving patients throughout South Texas.
Dr. Ferguson did his General Surgery residency at Wilford Hall, at the time the premier medical center for the United States Air Force (USAF). A three-year Plastic and Reconstructive Fellowship followed, his training taking place in Boston, both at the prestigious Beth Israel Lahey Health and Harvard Medical Centers. Dr. Ferguson is fully Board Certified by the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. He continues honing his skills and knowledge by studying for, then taking, the most current version of the American Board of Plastic Surgery exam put out every single year.
While serving his country for 21 years in the United States Air Force, Dr. Ferguson was Chief of Plastic Surgery, selected as the Commander of Surgical Subspecialties, and chosen as the Plastic Surgery Consultant to the Surgeon General. He did three overseas tours; Japan, Iraq and Afghanistan, and earned the prestigious Legion of Merit Award.
In addition to having his own cosmetic practice in San Antonio, Dr. Ferguson serves as President of the San Antonio International Society of Plastic Surgeons, Medical Executive Committee Board Member for the San Antonio Spine and Surgical Hospital, and consultant to other plastic surgeons and various companies for his expertise.
With a combined thirty years of general and plastic surgery experience, and over 10,000 procedures performed, Dr. Ferguson knows how to do things the right way. His compassionate approach, attention to detail, and commitment to exceptional outcomes have earned him respect in the field of plastic surgery.
Dr. Ferguson has received national and local accolades for his extraordinary face and body work; a Top Plastic Surgeon designation by Scene in San Antonio Magazine and the coveted Top Surgeon award by the Castle Connolly group. The latter award represents the top 7% of plastic surgeons in the United States.
